Regional Information- Stormwater Harvesting

Gosford City and Wyong Shire Councils currently collect and reuse more than 50 million litres of stormwater a year.  The water collected is used to maintain grounds at Mingara Athletics field and leisure centre, Carrington/Pandala Oval at Narara, Jubilee Park at Long Jetty, Mount Penang Gardens at Kariong, Sir Joseph Banks Oval at Bateau Bay and Blue Tongue Stadium at Gosford.

All the new Wyong Shire Council's sporting factilities have been designed to harvest stormwater for reuse for irrigation.  These include: Woongarrah, Wadalba, Hamlyn Terrace and Bateau Bay Ovals.  Wyong Shire Council has also retrofitted stormwater collection tanks for irrigation at Kanwal Oval, Harry Moore Oval, Baker Park, Taylor Park, Kurraba Oval, Halekulani Oval and Mannering Park Oval.
